Ritzville native coaches state championship Reardan team

Brittney Kubik, former Ritzville resident, coached the Reardan Lady Indians to their third consecutive 2B volleyball state title on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the SunDome in Yakima. The Lady Indians faced their Bi-County 2B rivals, the Colfax Lady Bulldogs.

After losing the first two sets, 11-25, 20-25, in the championship game, the Lady Indians came from behind to defeat the Lady Bulldogs: 25-21, 25-18, 15-12.

Colfax and Reardan met three times during the season, prior to the state championship match. Colfax won the first two games in three sets and the third game in four sets.
