Giving Tree still filled with ornaments

The Giving Tree in the Sterling Bank lobby still has 31 ornaments remaining available for adoption, with the deadline for returned gifts being Dec. 14. The annual event, sponsored by Sterling Bank, helps provide Christmas presents to area residents requiring assistance.

Tags on the Giving Tree are limited to children ages newborn to 18 years of age, senior citizens ages 65 and over, and all recipients live with the Ritzville, Lind, Washtucna and Benge communities.

Ornaments can be selected from the tree during regular business hours at Sterling Bank. The bank is located at 108 East First Avenue, in Ritzville.

Organizers are also in need of wrapping supplies and gift bags for the final stages of the community service.
