    Lorraine Iltz Becker, died on Oct. 7, surrounded by her family. Lorraine Iltz Becker was born to George Iltz Jr and Katie Kissler Iltz Sept. 23, 1931. She grew up in Odessa, a small farming community settled mainly by Germans from Russia. Lorraine graduated from Odessa High School in 1949, and went to work for the telephone office in Odessa.   • Fall Fest at Ralston Grange Sunday

    The Fall Fest sponsored by the Ralston Grange will be held on Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Ralston Grange Hall from 2-3:30 p.m. Kids from all of the surrounding communities, ages 3 to 12, are invited to attend. The fest will offer games and crafts, including pumpkin painting, coloring table, a spider house craft, cookie-walk, and giant candy corn bean bag toss and much more. Snacks and beverages will also be provided. There is no admission charge, but donations to help offset expenses are welcome....

    Pete Marvin Oestreich, 88, died Sept. 28. Pete was born July 10, 1928, in Ritzville, to Joseph and Anna Oestreich. He outlived all of his siblings, namely Alvin, Elmer, Hazel, Ralph, Edith, Evelyn, Orville, Dolly, and Joseph. He was also preceded in death by his son Chris in 2014.
