Pete Marvin Oestreich

Pete Marvin Oestreich, 88, died Sept. 28. Pete was born July 10, 1928, in Ritzville, to Joseph and Anna Oestreich.

He outlived all of his siblings, namely Alvin, Elmer, Hazel, Ralph, Edith, Evelyn, Orville, Dolly, and Joseph. He was also preceded in death by his son Chris in 2014.

Pete was a lifelong farmer in Ritzville, truly a man of hard work, integrity, and faith. Tales were told of his great strength, including being able to lift the front ends of cars and beating any sorry fellow who would have a go at arm-wrestling him.
