    The middle school students are finishing up there year with performances and projects. The band is doing their spring concert, the junior honor society did a carwash, and students helped at the Summer Kick Off Fun Fair. The band’s spring concert is being held on Thursday, May 29, at 6 p.m. in the middle school gym.     Trevor Jantz, Tessa Jantz and Logan Morley have all earned the right to compete at the WIAA State Golf Tournament, held in Lakeside on May 28-29. The results of the state tournament were not available at press time. As a freshman, this is Tessa’s first trip to the state tournament and she competed as the only female athlete on the LRS team.   • Tigercat track ends in districts

    While Darcy Stamper finished first in both of his competitions at the 2B District 9 Championships last week, the Tigercats do not have any LWK athletes continuing on to state. Stamper, a senior at LaCrosse High School, is traveling to Hawaii with his class on the annual senior trip during the time the state championships are underway, preventing him from competing.     The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague tennis team has three individuals who have earned the right to compete at the state tournament this weekend. Tracy Melville, Alex Wheeler and Kyle Canaday are all heading to Yakima on Friday and Saturday to compete for a state title.     The Lind-Ritzville FFA chapter added two teams to the ticket who will travel to Indianapolis this fall and compete at the National FFA Convention. The Marketing Plan and Meats Judging teams placed first at the Washington State FFA Convention in Pullman on May 16-18, and seven students earned a chance to attend nationals.
