    The Ritzville Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will honor high school scholars at the chapter’s regular monthly meeting on April 12. The recognition event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Emanuel Lutheran Church social room. Each student will receive an AAUW Certificate of Excellence, issued by the AAUW of Washington.     The Ritzville Public Library will be offering two free classes in April in honor of Financial Literacy Month.     The Adams County Judicial Court positions have changed following the decision of the Adams County Board of Commissioners to redistrict the county into a single district. The Commissioners voted on the issue on March 27, and without a unanimous consensus, Ordinance O-01-2017 passed creating a single judiciary district in Adams County.     Virginia May (Brown) Olson was born on Sept. 6, 1926, in Spokane to Margaret (Beard) and Clarence D. Brown. She died in Spokane on March 30 at the age of 90. Virginia’s father worked for the railroad so the family lived in many places in the Pacific Northwest. Her mother died when she was only six years old. She loved spending summers in New York with her Grandmother Keene. The family moved to railroad housing in Marengo around 1935.
