Seniors recognized at Track and Field meet

RITZVILLE - Senior athletes were honored at their last high school track and field meet Thursday, May 13.

Coach Greg Whitmore took time before the meet to honor senior athletes from other schools as well as the Broncos, who were joined by their parents on the field.

Douglas Morris, the Captain of the football team and state wrestler, was joined by Sam and Walter Crow.

Janaye Wilkie was recognized for qualifying in the 4x100 Meter in her freshman year and placing 6th in Long Jump and 3rd in High Jump; and taking 5th in Long Jump and 3rd in High Jump at State. She was joined by parents Denise Hoffman and Ed Shields, and Greg and Kristin Wilkie.

Josh Crouse, who competed in track 2018 and 2019 and four years in football, was joined by parents Steve and Coleen Crouse.

Sam Michels, who competed in track and cross country 2018 and 2019, was joined by parents Alane and Chris Michels.

Brynne Nelson, who competed in track 2018 and 2019 and played basketball and was a cheerleader, was joined by Camille and Rick Nelson.

Senior Kylee Longie was not present for the recognition.
