William (Bill) L. Wills

1932 – 2021

With great sadness the Wills family lost William (Bill) L. Wills (88) at his home in Lind, Wash. surrounded by family. Bill was born June 12, 1932 in Log Lick, Ky to Elmo and Eda.

Bill Joined the Air force and was stationed at Radar Hill near Othello, Wash. That’s where he met the love of his life Jeanette. Bill and Jeannette where married 69 years. Bill and Jeanette had two sons, Joe William Wills Jr. and Bradley James Wills. Bill, Poppie, Little Bill, Wills, loved Lind. He worked at Longmeir Bros, Fertilizer, where he started Wills Septic Tank. He then worked for Union Elevator and from there on to farming with Bauer Farms in Paha, Wash. Bill and Jeanette owned several businesses in Lind as well, Empire Café, Wills Septic, Liquor Store Wills Farming and Merchandise.

Bill served 3 terms as Adams County Commissioner. He loved serving the people of Adams County. He called everyone a friend; he would talk with anyone and everyone about whatever. He did not have a bad bone in him. The most honest man you could meet.

The demo derby and Lions Club were Bills passions in his later years. Bill loved to sit on his patio and wave to everybody that went by knowing them or not. Bill never met a stranger! Poppie loved his country, his flag, Lind and his family. He survived by his 2 children, Joe William Jr. (Cathay) and Bradley James Wills (Traci). His grandchildren: Megan (Jae) Holly, Josh (Casey) Bill (Ashley), and Cagney (Brandon). Great-grandchildren: Tresa, Temple, Logan, Levi, Abel, Ian and Gemma.
