Scholastic sports begin with camps

RITZVILLE - Lind-Ritzville middle and high school athletes began practicing Monday, Oct. 12, in after-school training camps.
"Athletes are thrilled to be participating in sports again," track team coach Caitlin Jeske said. "I am very happy for our athletes.
"The majority of them commented on how out of shape they were, but were happy to be back."
Tennis coach Janna Gingrich also said it was good to be back.
"It was great. The kids all seemed to have fun, and that was my goal," Gingrich said, adding her daughter was a senior last year and had to miss out on her senior season.
