Kelly Yockey has fun showing off a talking ghost to local kids Thursday, Oct. 8. New owner Debbie Starring said the Boxwood will remain a "kid friendly" place.

RITZVILLE – Homeowner Jerry Furman was happy to see the city's Public Works crew install a new storm drain line for half a block near his home at the corner of Washington and First Thursday, Oct. 8.

"We never had any real drainage here, so we're redirecting it out to our storm water holding pond by Napa," project lead Justin Ziebell said.

"Those last couple of rainstorms were a problem," Kevin Schaeffer said.

"They're doing a good job trying to take of what's been a problem for a long time," Furman said.

Also working on the project was Ned Bernath.
