June 24

Agency Assist - South state Highway 17 near MP 34 Othello

Report of an unknown injury roll over collision near the location. Deputies responded to the area and assisted until units from WSP arrived.

Malicious Mischief - 500 block North Main Street Washtucna

Investigation is ongoing into an incident at the location where cameras outside the building were damage, a soda machine was damaged and money was stolen from the machine.

Lost/Found Property - West state Highway 26 and South Booker Road Othello

Cell phone found at the location.

Littering - 2200 block West McManamon Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into two furniture items illegally dumped at the location.

Weapon Offense - 2100 block West May Street Othello

Report of a dog at the location being shot by a BB gun. An investigation was conducted and a report will be forwarded to the prosecutor for review.

Abandoned Vehicle - 200 block West 2nd Street Lind

Dispatch advised of a suspicious vehicle call at the location. Deputies learned a hulk form was provided in 2012 for the vehicle.

Burglary - 1000 block West Schrag Road Ritzville

Investigation is ongoing into a burglary that occurred at the location within the last two days.

Citizen Assist - 600 block South Andes Road Othello

Complainant came to the substation requesting information on custody of juveniles. Complainant was advised to contact the courts and her attorney for assistance in custody issues.

Abandoned Vehicle - 2100 block West April Street Othello

Report of an abandoned vehicle at the location. Complainant was advised the vehicle did not qualify for junk vehicle affidavit.

June 25

Vehicle Prowl - 2200 block West state Highway 26 Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a report of a vehicle prowl the previous night at the location.

Burglary - 2000 block North Bauman Road Ritzville

Report of a burglary at the location with muliple tools stolen a month ago. Complainant advised he had located a stolen welder at a location in Ritzville. Deputies recovered the welder and returned to the owner. Investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Accident - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a hit and run traffic collision at the location. A damaged mailbox along with vehicle parts were left behind from the suspect vehicle.

Theft - West Cunningham Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into an overnight theft of hay bales at the location. Complainant advised of theft of hay bales at the location.

Traffic Offense - 2200 block West Barbara Road Othello

A vehicle was contacted at the location where the driver was found to have a suspended license. Mario Guzman was released pending a criminal citation.

Missing Person - 2100 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Complainant reported a 5-year-old child was missing from the location. The complainant called back advising they had located the child hiding in a closet. Deputies made contact at the residence to ensure everything was ok.

Traffic Hazard - 2100 block West April Street Othello

Report of vehicles speeding in the area and request for extra patrols.

Citizen Assist - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Complainant reported a subject riding a quad in the area. Deputies contacted the subject who advised he would not be riding his quad in the area anymore.

Suspicious - 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Deputies responded to a report of a small brush fire at the location.

June 26

Agency Assist - 1400 block North Hoffman Road Ritzville

Deputies assisted the West Jefferson Police Department of North Carolina with contacting a subject at the location regarding a fraud investigation they were working on.

Suspicious - 700 block North Dewald Road Ritzville

Complainant reported a suspicious subject standing outside a dark colored vehicle for the past 20-30 minutes near the location. Deputies responded and the vehicle was observed leaving the area upon arrival. Nothing criminal was observed.

Traffic Hazard - 1300 block North Deal Road Ritzville

Complainant reported gravel trucks speeding in the area. Deputies contacted the company the trucks were working for and advised them to have the trucks slow down.

Harassment - 600 block South Kristina Road Othello

Complainant requested contact regarding having issues with a subject which could possibly be interpreted as threatening. The complainant was advised to call law enforcement when incidents are occurring and it was suggested he contact Othello District Court to apply for a protection order.

Fraud - 400 block East Yeisley Road Lind

Complainant requested a phone contact about a fraud call she received. A call was made and there was no answer. A voicemail was left for the complainant.

Traffic Hazard - South Kummer Road Othello

Deputies responded to a report of water being sprayed onto the roadway near the location and observed the wind blowing water onto the roadway.

Abandoned Vehicle - West Sutton Road Othello

Deputies responded to a report of two vehicles at the location. Vehicles were removed before law enforcement arrival.

Suspicious - South Eagle Court Othello

Report of an intoxicated male in the area who did not know where he was and could not speak clearly. Deputies gave the subject a courtesy ride to his residence.

June 27

Warrant Service - East Wahluke Street Othello

Amy Farroux was arresteded at the location during a traffic stop, on a local warrant, and booked into jail.

Agency Assist - 700 block Sout Solomons Landing Lane Othello

Agency assisted Othello Police Department with an assault investigation. The victim was uncooperative and it was unknown where the assault took place.

Suspicious 911 - 200 blocl West 3rd Street Lind

Deputies responded to the location for a suspicious 911 call. The responsible advised they have had a technician working on the phone lately.

Traffic Hazard - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Report of four subjects riding 4-wheelers near the location.

Suspicious - South Thacker Road Othello

Report of a gate open near the location. Deputies observed the gate was locked and secured.

Fire - 2200 block West Sielaff Road Othello

Report of a brush fire near the location. Deputies remained on scene until the fire was extinguished.

Domestic - 2300 block West Sutton Road Othello

Alejandro Alcaraz-Espitia was arrested and booked into jail after deputies responded to a report of a possible assault in progress at the location. Alcarez-Espitia was booked for Assault 2nd Degree DV, Unlawful Imprisonment, and Interfering with the Report of Domestic Violence.

Agency Assist - 800 blocl South Taylor Road Othello

Warden Police Department requested a welfare check on a subject at the location. Attempt was made with negative results.

June 28

Suspicious - 100 block West 2nd Street Lind

Report of a car alarm going off at the post office. Deputies checked the vehicle and found it was secure, no alarm.

Citizen Dispute - 2100 block West Peter Lane Othello

Complainant reported a subject breaking windows and trying to enter the residence. Deputies arrived on scene. The complainant was very uncooperative and did not want to provide details or be a victim of this incident.

Assault - 2100 block West Peter Lane Othello

Channelle Alvarez was arrested and booked in to jail for Assault 4th Degree DV after deputies responded to a report of yelling at the location.

Animal Problem - 2100 Block West April Street Othello

Report of chickens being killed by neighborhood dogs. Deputies successfully identified the offending animals. The incident will be processed in reference to the dangerous dog ordinance.

Traffic Accident - South Lucy Road and West Foley Road Othello

Report of a a single vehicle roll-over collision near the location. Deputies responded and determined the vehicle was unoccupied. The vehicle’s registered owner was contacted by a local agency as he attempted to report the vehicle stolen. The registered owner recanted his story and was advised of the vehicle’s storage location.

Alarm - West 1st Street and North Neilson Avenue Lind

Report of an alarm sounding from the downtown area of Lind. No alarms were heard. Deputies checked Lind City Hall and Jim’s Market and both buildings were secure.

Agency Assist - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Warden Police Department requested a welfare check on subjects at the location. Deputies contacted the subjects and determined they were not in immediate harm. Vehicle Prowl - 700 block South Thacker Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a report of a vehicle prowl at the location.

Suspicious 911 - 200 block West 3rd Street Lind

Report of a suspicious 911 from the location. The building was locked and nobody in the area appeared to have an emergency.

Hazardous Condition - West 1st Street Lind

A subject was observed operating a 4-wheeler near the rail road tracks. The subject cut across an empty lot and parked at his residence. The subject was warned about operating his 4-wheeler near the rail road tracks.

Nuisance/Noise - 600 block South Allen Road Othello

Report of loud music at the location.

Burglary - North state Highway 26 Ritzville

Investigation is ongoing into a report of a burglary at the location including a rifle, shotgun, 4-wheeler, chainsaw, compressor, and miscellaneous tools.

Traffic Accident - West state Highway 26 and South Taylor Road Othello

Deputies responded to a collision involving two ATVs with injuries at the location. One driver was transported to OCH for treatment. The incident occurred on private property and damage was not reportable.

Vehicle Theft - 1100 block North Rand Lane Ritzville

Report of a subject failing to return a vehicle. Complainant later advised the vehicle was returned.

June 29

Warrant Service - 200 block East Cedar Street Othello

Deputies applied for and were granted a search warrant for a subject with a warrant for their arrest reported to be at the location. Deputies were unable to locate the subject.

Suspicious - 2200 block Wst Rainier Road Othello

Report of a stimulus check being stolen after complainant had it mailed to someone else’s residence.

Citizen Assist - 700 block South Heeb Lane Othello

Dispatch advised of a citizen requesting a phone call. Complainant advised to call 911 if mother comes to residence and causes issues.

Theft - 2000 block North Durry Road Ritzville

Investigation is ongoing into report of a lawnmower stolen from the location.

Malicious Mischief - 300 block South Reynolds Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a report of sprinklers being disassembled at the location.

Civil Matter - 700 block South Thacker Road Othello

Report of an unfulfilled civil transaction that ended with the vehicle being impounded. The complainant was advised that no theft of vehicle report could be completed due to the civil transaction.

Theft - 700 block South Pence Road Lind

Dispatch advised of a theft call at the location. Complainant was contacted who advised the issue was taken care of internally and law enforcement was no longer needed.

Fraud - 2800 block West Kuhn Road Othello

Complainant at the location reported receiving a letter in reference to owing money for unemployment fraud. The proper jurisdiction had already been notified and complainant was advised to report to local law enforcement.

Code Violation - S Taylor Road and West Rainier Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into illegal dumping at the location. Deputies observed dirt, rocks and other various trash illegally dumped on irrigation district and county right of way. A subject admitted to an unknown subject hauling items from their property.

Suspicious - 2400 BLK W Flying K Ln Othello

Complainant advised of a slashed tire on her vehicle after having been previously parked at the location. The vehicle was not observed by the sheriff’s office. A mechanic advised it was a blown tire.

Suspicious 911 - 219 West 3rd Street Lind

Dispatch received an additional suspicious 911 call from the location. Deputies spoke with the responsible who stated Century Link is coming June 30.

Alarm - 2200 block West state Highway 26 Othello

False alarm.

Burglary - 700 block South state Highway 261 Washtucna

Report of a possible burglary at the location.

Citizen Assist - 800 block South state Highway 24 Othello

Request for law enforcement assistance with a vehicle registration issue. Attempts to contact the unidentified complainant were unsuccessful.

Traffic Offense - South Taylor Road and West Spur Lane Road Othello

While on patrol, a vehicle towing a trailer with its load uncovered was observed. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle towing a trailer with its load uncovered. Eleazar Gonzalez was arrested, cited, and booked into jail for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and the vehicle was released to its registered owner.

Harassment - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Report of harassment at the location. Deputies contacted parties involved and determined the complainant was less than truthful. The alleged suspect was advised to remain clear of the location.

Fireworks - 2100 block West April Street Othello

Report of fireworks near the location. Deputies advised the complainant fireworks would be legal until after Independence Day.

Nuisance/Noise - 600 block South Drury Lane Othello

Report of loud music near the location.

Traffic Hazard - 2100 block West April Steet Othello

Report of a subject in the roadway swinging a 2x4 board at passing subjects. Deputies contacted the subject and advised he remain inside his fenced property.

Traffic Accident - 700 block South Sunset Acres Road Othello

Complainant reported property damage after backing into a telco equipment junction box. Deputies completed a state traffic collision form.

June 30

Parking Problem - 600 block South Thacker Road Othello

Complainant reported a vehicle parked in the roadway, blocking his driveway, and was advised to call when the incident was occurring.

Citizen Assist - 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Report of an abandoned vehicle reported at the location. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted complainant who advised he wanted to apply for a lost title on the vehicle. Complainant was advised to contact the department of licensing.

Lost/Found Property - West Kenfield Lane and South Taylor Road Othello

Report of a cell phone pinging at the location. Deputies found it and placed in safekeeping until owner claims it.

Traffic Accident - 2100 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Report of a vehicle in the canal at the location. Through investigation, subjects had abandoned the vehicle following the collision.

Traffic Accident - West Lee Road and South Reynolds Road Othello

Report of a multi-vehicle non-injury collision at the location. Deputies responded to the scene finding the vehicles and subjects on site. A state traffic collision report was completed and all vehicles were removed from the scene.

Nuisance/Noise - 2100 block West July Street Othello

Report of loud music near the location. Deputies were not able to contact the complainant.

Weapon Offense - 400 block West Main Street Lind

Report of subjects walking in the area with firearms. Deputies contacted the subjects who had pellet guns. No evidence could be found that the pellet guns were fired.

July 1

Burglary - 600 block South Kaylee Road Othello

Invstigation is ongoing into a report of an attempted burglary at the location. A window screen was damaged on the residence but no entry was made.

Citizen Dispute - 2000 block North Durry Road Ritzville

Report of a citizen dispute call at the location. Dispatch advised the complainant left the scene. Unsuccessful attempta to contact the complainant via cell phone were made several times during the shift.

Code Violation - 1700 block West Hatton Road Othello

Deputies responded to a report of a circle end gun watering the roadway near the location, and confirmed the complainant’s observation. A subject was contacted and he agreed to modify the system’s output to limit overspray onto the roadway.

Domestic - E I-90 near MP 234 Ritzville

Dispatch advised of a rolling domestic at the location. WSP assisted in stopping the vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. William Truxal was arrested and later booked into jail for Assault 4th Degree DV.

Traffic Accident - W Lee Road and South Reynolds Road Othello

Report of two car collision near the location. Deputies responded and the driver of the sedan was transported to a local medical center for treatment. A semi-truck with trailer was inspected by WSP Commercial Vehicle officer and taken out of service for various infractions. A driver of a sedan was issued a traffic infraction.

Runaway Juvenile - 2200 block West Charla Lane Othello

Request for law enforcement contact regarding a missing juvenile subject. Deputies contacted the subject and assisted with documenting the juvenile as an active runaway.

Lockout - 800 block East Pine Street Othello

Request for assistance with unlocking a vehicle with keys inside at the location. Complainant signed the unlock waiver form and the vehicle was unlocked.

Suspicious - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Report of an unattended vehicle parked at the location with its flasher on for multiple hours. Multiple attempts to contact the registered owner were made with negative results. Unable to secure the vehicle prior to leaving the location.

July 2

Traffic Accident - North Marcellus Road and Olive Avenue Ritzville

Report of a rollover collision at the location. The driver was issued a traffic infraction for the collision.

Assault - 200 block West Broadway Avenue Ritzville

Report of an assault at the location. Deputies contacted the victim who was uncooperative with the investigation.

Agency Assist - 300 block East 3rd Street Lind

CPS requested law enforcement assistance with a home visit at the location. Deputies responded and assisted as needed.

Vehicle Theft - 300 block South Thiel Street Washtucna

Investigation is ongoing into a report of a vehicle stolen the previous night.

Alarm - 800 block South Crestline Road Othello

Deputies responded to a report of a burglary alarm at the location in the garage.

Citizen Assist - 200 block South “D” Street Washtucna

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle abandoned on private property. The vehicle will be removed per property owner.

Malicious Mischief - 2500 block West Hatton Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a report of mailbox damaged the previous night, possibly by a firework

Fireworks - West Cunningham Road and South Andes Road Othello

Report of fireworks being set off near the location.

July 3

Suspicious - South Wagon Road and South Andes Road Othello

Report of a suspicious vehicle near the location parked for half an hour.

Traffic Accident - East Schrag Road and North Wahl Road Ritzville

Deputies responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle that appeared to have been in a collision, and impounded the vehicle. It is unknown who was driving the vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious - 1500 block North Bauman Road Ritzville

Report of a suspicious female subject opening mail boxes in the area, possibly stealing mail. WSP was contacted to assist with the call. The suspicious subject appeared to be a transient who was transported to town by a concerned citizen.

Agency Assist - West state Highway 26 Othello

Grant County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance in searching the area for a missing elderly subject.

Citizen Dispute - West Bench Road Othello

Report of a citizen dispute at the location which resulting from a traffic accident with minimal damage to the vehicles involved. Both parties cleared without incident after refusing to provide exchange of information. Damage to vehicles was not reportable.

Traffic Accident - South Booker Road and West Sutton Road Othello

Deputies responded to a report of a traffic accident at the location and observed a vehicle completely damaged. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was DUI. Damien Suarez was arrested and booked into jail for the driving offenses.

DUI - South Booker Road and West Sutton Road Othello

While at the scene of a collision, a subject drove up to assist a friend who was in the collision. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was DUI. Anthony Rodriguez was arrested and booked into jail for the driving offenses.
