Rodney Neil Biermann

Rodney Neil Biermann was born August 20, 1950 to Ted and Marjorie (Wegner) Biermann in Ritzville, WA. Rod passed away peacefully in his home on September 7 after a two-year battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Marge, and his sister Barbara. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rose, daughter Elizabeth, son Jarod (Kaitlyn), and granddaughter Avery.

He resided in Lind his entire life, only leaving for two years to attend college at Big Bend Community College. Rod attended Lind High School and was an active member of FFA, raising and showing sheep as well as on the track team. He was employed at Barnett Pump and Irrigation before settling in at Union Elevator where he worked until his retirement in 2009.

Rod enjoyed playing softball for the Wellington Tavern and shooting pool for the Golden Grain and Slim's Tavern teams. After retirement he loved going to coffee every morning and going to Lake Roosevelt with his fishing buddies. Rod married Rose (Tinkle) in 1986 and became an instant father to 1-year old Elizabeth. In 1987 they were blessed with a baby boy, Jarod. He enjoyed watching his kids excel in sports, FFA, and all their life achievements. This year he was blessed with his first grandchild, Avery Jane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to Good Hope Lutheran Church of Lind or the Lind Senior Center. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Lind, WA. A graveside service will follow immediately after the service at Lind Cemetery and reception at Lind Lion's Club.
