Mary Ann Klemmer

Mary Ann Klemmer was born in Pasco on Oct. 18, 1936, to Frank and Inga Davis. In June, 1949, the family moved to Lind where her dad was a section foreman for the Northern Pacific Railroad.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Inga Labes, her father, Frank Davis, and her stepfather, Ed Labes. She is survived by her brother, Carl Davis, daughters, Lisa (Doug) Kelly, Julie (Terry) Giger, grandchildren Kirsten (Codey) Poldervart, Donny Furhop, Kevin Kelly, Callie (Tyler) Roche, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.

In 1954, Mary Ann graduated from Lind High School. She married Don Klemmer in 1958 and together they raised their two daughters in Lind. Eventually Mary Ann moved to Spokane then to Liberty Lake. She died on July 4 after a battle with cancer.

Mary Ann was the world’s greatest supporter when her daughters or grandchildren were participating and she rarely missed any of their events. She was also one of the most passionate and loyal fans of the Zags and Mariners. She was a devout Christian, especially close to her church and church family.

It was a pleasure to receive a baked item from Mary Ann as she was fantastic in the kitchen and well known for her delicious pies, cinnamon rolls and cookies.

She enjoyed working in her beautiful yard and welcomed all visitors to her Liberty Lake home. Mary Ann was loved by so many and will be missed immensely.

A graveside service will be held on July 22 at 11 a.m. at the Lind Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the Advent Lutheran Church, 13009 E Broadway Avenue in Spokane Valley.

Any memorial or kind wishes can be made by way of contribution to the Advent Lutheran Church, 13009 Broadway Avenue, Spokane Valley, WA 99216.
