Bulldog News: LRMS students stay busy in April

As the month of April closes, you might be wondering, “What’s new with the Lind-Ritzville Middle School?” I can tell you that these past few months have been packed with activities, programs, and academics.

One program that has kept students and staff busy is the “Pennies for Patients” program.

Pennies for Patients is a wonderful program that helps create awareness for the people who suffer from leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers.

Students at LRMS have the opportunity to bring all the coins and dollars that they want to help raise money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

The middle and grade schools have a goal of reaching $1,000. If you would like to donate money for this amazing cause, we would love your support! You can give your money to the middle school front office.

Another activity that has consumed most of our students’ schedules is, of course, sports.

The softball, baseball, and track teams have all been busy working their hardest. Each team had their first games and meets on April 20.

If you missed our first sport events and would like to come and support our bulldog athletes, you can find full game schedules on lrschools.org.

The month of April also held a field trip for the middle school students to the Lind-Ritzville High School.

The students were invited to attend a presentation on April 28. The presentation was given by high school students who recently attended the Washington, D.C., trip.

The trip participants were excited to share their experience and what they learned.

As you can see, there have been several opportunities and activities for the LRMS. And I can promise that there will be several more. This year has truly been a busy one, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
