Computer workshops offered at Soul Café

All are welcome to a series of three free consecutive computer workshops at the Soul Café beginning Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon, led by Cory Bartlett. Attendees are asked to bring a laptop if possible, but it is not mandatory.

Saturday’s topics include the basics of Internet security and social networking, secure browsing, phishing, scams, Facebook basics and other issues, as questions arise.

The Feb. 17 topics are the basics of Microsoft Office for use at home or in the workplace and other topics determined during the first meeting.

During the Feb. 24 session, participants will cover an introduction to Windows 10 and upgrades. The meeting will also discuss the first two workshops.

Bartlett is a Career and Technical Education Director for the Kahlotus School District, where he has served for the last six years. He lives in Ritzville with his wife and three children.

He has over 30 years of experience with personal computers, building programming and repairing computers. Bartlett is currently completing his Doctorate in Administrative Leadership through Walden University and serves on the Soul Café Board.

The Soul Café is located at 109 West Main Avenue in Ritzville.
