LWK athletes earn top spots in District 9 Meet

The LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus Tigercats had a strong performance at the1B/2B District 9 Meet at College Place on May 3.

The LWK girls’ team placed sixth at the meet with 50 points.

Freshman athlete Alynn Harder earned the team’s only first place finish of the day.

Harder netted the first place spot with a 94-07 throw in javelin.

This is only her second meet competing in the event. Harder also placed third in the long jump competition.

Jazzmyn Gordon and Jessica Guske also played key roles in the team’s success.

Gordon earned a second place finish in high jump and third place in discus.
