Broncos compete at Lakeside, Quincy; prep for Undeberg Invite

The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague track and field team brought home second place in the NE 1B/2B League Meet on April 20 at Lakeside High School in Nine Mile. The girls ended the day with 106 points, while the boys’ team earned 92.

The unofficial results from the Wednesday track meet show Alan Field bringing home three first place individual finishes, as well as first place in the 4x100-meter relay.

Senior Peyton Kiel also earned points for the Broncos by securing a first place finish in pole vault.

For the girls, Rachel Schell ran to a first place finish in the 200-meter dash, second in the 100-meter and also ran a leg of the first place relays: 4x100 and 4x200-meter.

Felicia Ziemer and Holly Nygren each placed first in an individual event, while also helping their relay teams run to victory.

The Broncos competed on Saturday, April 23, at the Quincy Invite.

The girls’ team earned 10th with 33 points, and the boys’ team finished 11th with 29.5 points.

Field continued his successful season with a first, second and fifth place finish in his individual events.

Ziemer led the girls’ team in points by finishing first in the 800-meter race, as well as running a leg of the three relays.
