AN ACCOUNT for Spay Neuter Your Pet (SNYP) has been set up at the Ritzville Wheatland Bank branch so residents can easily make a deposit to assist the group with their efforts. The nonprofit foundation recently founded in the community is seeking donations from the area.
Spay Neuter Your Pet or SNYP has an account set up at Wheatland Bank for residents to make donations to.
Mikki Kison, Janet Bowman and Leslie Greenwalt saw a need for a group to assist low-income families with having their pet neutered.
They began SNYP in November of 2015 and since then were able to raise enough funds to distribute seven coupons to local families.
Their goal with this organization is to keep any money received completely local. The money will only be used for residents in Ritzville, Washtucna, Sprague and Lind.
Wheatland Bank was happy to assist the group with an account for funds to be deposited in. They are a local institution and are therefore able to do such things for the community easier.
The coupons allow those who receive them to take their pet to any veterinary clinic to have the procedure done.
The coupon will refer the office to the SNYP contact information to collect payment. They are able to make payments via card and additionally via check when an invoice is received.
The organization will be actively providing coupons. Community members in need of a coupon can text Bowman at 509-994-7576.
