Study shows Othello as prime food processing industry location

The Boyd Company, Inc. recently did a comparative operating cost analysis of 30 comparable sites in the United States. Othello was determined to have the lowest annual operating cost with an estimate of $22.3 million.

This study involved the costs projected to a scaled representative 300-worker food processing industry on a hypothetical 125,000 sq. ft. facility.

On the high end of this analysis was Boston, Massachusetts whose annual operating cost is set at $27.8 million. This study chose these locations based on their significant concentrations to the U.S. food and beverage industry.
