Ritzville Chamber to launch new luncheon series with Sharp speaker

The Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce is launching a new luncheon series featuring powerhouse guest speakers and new hours.

This month’s date is Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Memories Diner on Main Avenue beginning at 11:30 a.m. The program will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m. to provide the speaker ample time to present.

This month’s revamped no-host luncheon will feature a powerful speaker with experience in community success and economic development.

George Sharp, CMO of Sharp Strategies and Solutions LLC, has years of experience working in building community, tourism and economic development through his time at the Washington State Department of Commerce, Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development, Bellingham Chamber of Commerce and the Olympia-Lacey-Tumwater Visitor and Convention Bureau.

During Sharp’s presentation, “Formula for Success in Community and Economic Development,” attendees will learn the key success factors that are part of creating and implementing community and economic development strategies.

Sharp will also lead an exercise for those in attendance to share what is important to them, their fellow citizens and for the future of the community.

There is no cost to attend the presentation. For more information, contact the chamber office at 659-1936 or [email protected].

The normal meeting schedule will be every other month and generally on the second Wednesday of the month.

The next meeting is Wednesday, Oct. 14.
