Residents reminded to continue to control noxious weeds

The month of August is halfway over, but the Adams County Noxious Weed Board is asking residents to use the nice weather as an opportunity to control noxious weeks.

A few serious invaders somewhat at the forefront at the present are: Kochia, Rush Skeletonweed, Puncturevine and Canada Thistle.

Though there are several other invasive noxious weeds in Adams County, these four currently standout in need of the noxious weed board’s immediate attention and response.

Weed control steps being: continuous mowing, cultivation, digging or pulling or the use of herbicides sometimes requiring a licensed pesticide applicator.

For any further assistance or more information about noxious weeds, contact the Adams County Noxious Weed Board by phone at 509-659-1806 or email [email protected].
