Museum Volunteers ready Burroughs’ Home for summer season

Thirteen volunteers worked in late May to ready the Burroughs’ Home for the summer season.

Workers vacuumed and dusted room on both floors of the home, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, washed windows, and cleaned porches among other jobs.

Yard work was also completed during the three-hour work party.

Because of the volunteer effort the group was awarded an “action grant” from Thrivent Financial.

The organization donated the t-shirts plus $250, which, will be used to purchase needed supplies such as a safe step stool, a lightweight vacuum and additional cleaning supplies all purchased locally.
