Carl Lee Blauert

Carl Lee Blauert, 70, a Moses Lake resident died Saturday, Feb. 21, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories, 831 S. Pioneer Way, Moses Lake. Carl was born on May 17, 1944 in Spangle, and raised on the family farm. During high school, Carl moved to Washtucna to continue school and graduated from Washtucna High School. While in Washtucna he lived with his second hand family, the Kusters. After finishing high school, Carl returned to Spangle to farm the family farm. In the mid 1970’s Carl moved to Moses Lake to farm and raise hogs.

Survivors include his four siblings; Marvel Hinrichs, Frederic (Timmie) Blauert, Karen Polley and Kathy Gillis; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; also his second hand family of Washtucna, John and Iva Kuster (John preceded him in death).

Carl was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Viola Blauert and his wife, Bella.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a youth organization involved with livestock or agriculture.
