Ruth Leona (Lobe) Gillis

Ruth Leona (Lobe) Gillis, at 97 died on January 22, at the Life Care Center in Ritzville.

Ruth was born on May 2nd, 1917 to John and Lydia Lobe of Odessa Washington. Ruth graduated from Washtucna High School in 1937.

The following year she married Vernon E. Gillis in November. They had two children a son and daughter and celebrated fifty years of marriage. For nearly a century as a native of Washington Ruth lived in Pullman, Walla Walla, Okanagan, Spokane, Rosaila and Washtucna.
