On Sunday, Jan. 4, nearly three inches of snow fell in Ritzville and the surrounding areas.
The snow created difficult driving conditions for local commuters, as well as travelers on the interstate.
Emergency services scrambled throughout the evening to locate accidents while dispatch sorted through incorrect and confusing reports.
Adams County Fire Protection District No. 1 responded to six crash reports during the day, according to Fire Chief Scott Kembel. Fortunately none of the accidents responded to by emergency crews resulted in any injuries to the occupants.
