The event begins with an extensive silent auction that provides those in attendance with a variety of items to bid on.

The live auction begins at 8 p.m. with an estimated 30 items available for purchase. Nearly 50 silent auction items are also available for purchase.

The auction items range from handmade items to trips throughout the Pacific Northwest. The list of items includes Apple Cup Tickets and Cougar Gear, LRS Bronco Package, Coeur d’Alene Resort and Spa with golf, Montana Sterling Basket, Maryhill Winery Tour for eight, Napa Tool Chest, Northern Quest Casino Package, Great Wolfe Lodge package, two loads of gravel, Alderbrook Resort and Spa on Hood Canal, Silverwood Theme Park Package, Handmade quilt by Gretchen Snyder, box seats to the Spokane Indians Game, four course Wine Dinner for eight at the Corral Restaurant in Warden and Spokane Shock Arena Football Tickets.

Throughout the evening, attendees also have the opportunity to participate in three different games for a chance to win a mystery prize valued at over $500. Chief Nursing Officer Brenda Herr and her husband Greg have donated the mystery item.

Door prizes will also be distributed throughout the evening.

A new addition to the auction traditions this year is a specialties table of fine food and pastries made by local chefs.

Every year, the EACH Foundation uses the funds raised at the auction to provide necessary upgrades for the hospital, clinic and the EMTs.

The EACH Foundation receives priority requests from each entity and does the best to provide them with the necessary equipment.

In previous years, the funds have been used to provide new furniture in the hospital lobby, new furniture in the exam rooms and a gurney for the new ambulance, as well as help host medical students visiting the community. Recent additions have included donations to the EMT building, a defibrillator for Lind-Ritzville High School, CPR Training Kit for the senior class to complete a CPR class prior to graduating, and a sick bed at the Washtucna School District.

Other additions have included a new x-ray table for the hospital that provides the hospital with advanced technology to help better serve their patients, and a CPR compression vest for the EMT staff to use.

The EACH Foundation also provides two scholarships annually to individuals pursuing a career in the medical field.

The $1,000 Ronald W. Baumann Memorial scholarships are awarded to individuals pursuing an education in the healthcare field at the college level that live within the hospital district, covering the communities of Ritzville, Lind and Washtucna.

This is the sole fundraiser for the EACH Foundation, whose primary goals are to help serve Adams County Health District No. 2 and the residents of eastern Adams County. EACH Foundation is a nonprofit organization operating under the Internal Revenue Service designation of a 501 (c)(3). The funds raised at this event are spent inside the boundary of the health district.
