Railroad topics highlight the chamber meeting next week

The Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly general membership meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 8, beginning at noon at Memories Diner in downtown Ritzville.

Highlighting the no-host luncheon are a pair of speakers discussing coordinating topics – the railroad. Charles Jingling will give a presentation about Operation Lifesaver followed by an update by Mayor Linda Kadlec on the city’s discussions with Burlington Northern Sante Fe.

Jingling is a certified presenter of the Operation Lifesaver program. Operation Lifesaver is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting safety at railroad grade crossings and railroad rights-of-way. It is the largest and most-influential rail safety organization in the United States.

All chamber meetings and functions are open to the public. One and all are invited and encouraged to attend. For more information, contact the chamber office by phone at 659-1936, in person at 111 West Main Avenue, by email at [email protected] or online at http://www.visitritzville.com.
