Lind School District hires cook, four teachers: Mary Anna Replogle

Para educator Mary Anna Replogle joined the staff at Lind-Ritzville Middle School to begin working with students in the special education class. As a para educator, Replogle works one-on-one with a specific child throughout the entire school year.

For many years, Replogle served as a substitute teacher at Ritzville Grade School, working specifically in the special education and music classrooms. She also served as a para-pro at Ritzville Grade School two years ago.

Originally born in Ritzville, Replogle and her family moved to Nevada when Replogle was in grade school. She remained in Nevada for the majority of her life until her mother wanted to move back to the Ritzville community and Replogle joined her to be close to other family members.

Replogle received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Nevada in vocal performance and in computer science education.

For about 15 years, Replogle worked as a part-time computer teacher for an adult class at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC). Replogle then took a job at the Washoe County Health District in Reno, Nev. working as an administrative assistant for 12 years.

Replogle decided to apply for a job within the school district because of how much she enjoyed working with the children. During her time volunteering at the school, she discovered how fascinating it was to work with the special education students and is excited at the opportunities for her student this year.

Her main goals as an educator is to keep the students engaged with activities throughout the day and make the most of the resources at the school.
