Germans From Russia Convention scheduled for July 23 in Spokane

The Germans from Russia Heritage Society will celebrate the 250 anniversary of the first German colony in Russia, Dobrinka, at the convention this year.

The convention will run from July 23 until July 24 at the Davenport Hotel and Tower in Spokane.

Convention activities will include a tour of the local area, German cooking workshops and making “schnapps”, using computers for research, genealogy books and more.

The Germans from Russia Heritage Society is an international organization of decendants of one of the largest ethnic groups to settler in the United States.
