Firework stands open June 28

Fourth of July is right around the corner and residents are reminded about firework ordinances and locations were fireworks can be purchased locally. Stands open in Ritzville and Washtucna on June 28.

According to Washington State Law fireworks can legally be sold starting noon June 28 and ending 9 p.m. July 5. Fireworks stand in operation during this time can be open 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. each day.

The discharging of fireworks is regulated to almost the same time period as the sale with the only difference being fireworks discharge allowed until 11 p.m. on July 5.

The City of Ritzville has separate regulations on fireworks. In addition to the state regulations Ritzville limits firework vendors to selling from noon June 28 until noon on July 5.

There are two fireworks booths in Ritzville, one in the Conoco parking lot and one next to Starbucks.

These are operated by the Ritzville Foursquare Church and will be open for business starting July 28 at noon and open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. until the Fourth of July.

There is also one stand in Washtucna, across from Java Bloom, which will be open 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. until July 5.
