LRS hosts first home meet on new track surface

The LRS hosted the first track meet on the new all-weather track at Jimmie Snider Field on April 15. The NE 1B/2B League Meet presented the Broncos with an opportunity to showcase the new track and prepare for the upcoming Undeberg Invitational on April 26.

The LRS track and field team traveled to Moscow on April 12 to participate in the annual Moscow Invitational. Both the boys and the girls’ teams finished in eighth place at the invite.

Senior athlete Ryan Whitmore secured the only first place finish for LRS team. He placed first in the 110-meter hurdles, and earned third place in the 300-meter hurdle race.

At the league meet on April 15, the LRS girls put up an impressive 109 points at the home meet and earned second place. The boys’ team tied St. George’s for sixth place with 64 points.
