Broncos’ basketball teams academic state champions

The LRS basketball teams have not only been successful on the hardwood this season, but also in the classroom, as both teams were named 2B academic state champions.

With 11 athletes filling the roster for the LRS Broncos, the boys’ team has an accumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.695.

The LRS Lady Broncos have maintained a 3.864 GPA between the 10 athletes on the varsity roster. John Galbreath coaches the Lady Broncos.

Both 2B Academic State Champion teams will be honored during the 2B Hardwood Classic at the halftimes of the championship games on March 8.
