Little League coaches meeting, maintenance day March 15

Sign-ups for Lind Little League athletes are from 6-7 p.m. on March 3 at the Lind Elementary School.

Ritzville Little League had sign-ups on Feb. 24.

The registration fee per player is $25 and the leagues available are tee ball, Minor League, Major League and girls softball.

Tee Ball is open to athletes between the ages of five and six, and children turning five before May 1 are eligible to play in the league. Minor League athletes must be between the ages of seven and 12.

Major League play is reserved for athletes between the ages of 10-12, and students who turn 13 on May 1 or later are still eligible to play Little League. Girls softball is for girls between the ages of nine and 12.

Tryouts for Major League and Minor League are March 20 at 4 p.m. in the Ritzville Little League Park.

A mandatory coaches meeting and the volunteer maintenance day occur in the morning of March 15. Coaches must meet at Ritzville Grade School at 9 p.m. and the maintenance day activities begin at 10 a.m. All parents of Little League athletes are encouraged to attend the volunteer maintenance day.

In order for any person to access a dugout, a volunteer application must be on file.
