Children’s events at the Ritzville Library

The Ritzville Public Library is hosting a variety of children’s events throughout the month of December and into January for local youth to participate in.

The activities begin with the Page Turners Book Club on Dec. 11, beginning at 3:45 p.m. Children between the ages of eight and 12 are welcome to attend, and this month the club is reading “A Wrinkle in Time,” by Madeline L’Engle.

On Friday, Dec. 13, youngsters are invited to attend the movie matinee at 3 p.m. in the library basement. The Friday movie is “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

From 2-5 p.m. on Dec. 20, library staff members are hosting a “crafternoon” and holiday party to help celebrate and decorate for the upcoming holiday. On Dec. 23, children are invited to attend Lego Club from 1-3 p.m.

After the new year rolls around, children are invited back to the library for a Note of Thanks gathering from 1-3 p.m. on Jan. 2.

The afternoon event is geared towards having children write thank you notes for the gifts they received during the holiday season.
