Rain showers unusual for August, postpone harvest

A rainstorm passed through Adams County late Thursday night, lasting into Friday and continuing to bring sporadic showers into Saturday. The rain showers, typically consistent with a July storm, are unusual to hit in the month of August.

The moisture postponed wheat harvest throughout the county, with recorded rainfall totals varying throughout the area.
