March 30, 11:15 p.m. –

While on patrol, Sergeant Stacy Flynn contacted and assisted a citizen with changing a tire on East Danekas Road and East Rehn Road in Ritzville.

March 30, 9:10 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a court order violation. Sergeant Flynn responded and contacted the subject on Highway 395 and Highway 21. With the assistance of WSP, Sgt. Flynn arrested Art F. Ray on violation of restraining order.

March 30, 11:54 a.m. – Lind complainant requested phone contact regarding a suspicious circumstance on West Vulcan Street. Deputy Ben Buriak contacted the complainant who stated they believe a male subject is casing the residence in order to burglarize it. Dep. Buriak contacted the subject and advised them of the situation. The subject stated they had not been to the complainant’s residence in some time.

March 30, 9:47 a.m. –

Ritzville complainant requested deputy escort to Lind and standby while they collect their belongings from a residence on West Vulcan Street. The complainant left the area before Deputy Buriak’s arrival. Dep. Buriak contacted the subject’s former spouse, where the property allegedly is, and the subject stated there is no property left at the residence to be retrieved.

March 29, 7:13 p.m. –

Deputies Aaron Madison and Buriak responded to a possible juvenile problem on West 5th Street in Lind. Upon arrival, the deputies contacted the subjects involved who advised it was a verbal argument between siblings. The older sibling agreed to leave and stay with their father in Spokane for a few days.

March 29, 2:50 p.m. –

Deputy Craig Frank responded to a possible arson call on Apple Alley Lane in Hatton. A complainant from Connell advised of damage to an outbuilding by the railroad tracks caused by fire.

March 29, 9:34 a.m. –

Deputy Jeffrey Lane responded to a theft on North Florenz Road in Lind. Upon arrival, the complainant advised of fuel theft from the location.

March 28, 7:42 p.m. – Deputy Buriak responded to a citizen dispute on West May Avenue in Washtucna. Complainant advised they are in the process of moving and having property issues. Complainant advised they don’t want problems they just want to move out. Dep. Buriak advised the complainant to install a lock on their door until they are able to remove the rest of their belongings.

March 28, 1:22 p.m. –

Deputy Lane responded to a possible protection order violation on East Davey Lane in Lind. Upon contact, Dep. Lane learned no violation had taken place at this time.

March 28, 1:34 p.m. –

While on patrol, Deputy Madison observed an open door on North S Street in Lind. Phone contact was made to the owner who stated they were not concerned about it. Dep. Madison secured the building and cleared.

March 27, 2:21 p.m. –

Deputy Lane responded to a possible domestic in progress in the 300 block of East 5th Street in Lind. Complainant advised they were in a fight with their significant other.

March 27, 6:09 a.m. – Deputy Lane responded to a medical assist call on East Weber Road in Ritzville. A Washtucna complainant advised of a subject pinned between vehicles at the location.

March 26, 6:23 p.m. –

Dispatch advised of a suspicious 911 hang up call on North Horseshoe Lake Road in Ritzville. Upon contact, the resident advised they accidentally pressed the emergency button on their telephone.

March 26, 3:18 p.m. –

While on patrol, Deputy Lane initiated a traffic stop on East Rosenoff Road and North Hoffman Road. The subject came back driving while license suspended in the third degree.

March 26, 1:17 p.m. –

While on patrol, Deputy Lane observed an open basement door on East 2nd Street in Lind. Deputy Lane checked the basement and no access to the upstairs was found. Dep. Lane notified the owner of the situation and cleared.

March 26, 11:59 a.m. – Deputy Lane responded to a suspicious 911 hang up call on North S Street in Lind. Upon contact it was learned that the call originated in Ritzville.

March 26, 10:17 a.m. –

Deputy Lane responded to a burglary on North Kulm Road near Odessa. Complainant advised of a burglary at their shop.

March 26, 9:13 a.m. – Deputy Lane responded to a suspicious 911 hang up call from a location on West Harder Road near Warden. It appears to be an ongoing issue while trying to obtain an outside line and the residents are working on solving the issue.

March 23, 10:12 p.m. –

While working radar on East Highway 26, Deputy Ned Bernath observed a vehicle enter the radar at 77 mph in a 65 mph zone. Dep. Bernath contacted the driver and the driver came back suspended in the third degree with required interlock.

March 21, 2:13 p.m. –

Deputy Frank responded to a possible animal problem on Second Avenue in Hatton. Complainant advised of a loose Rottweiler type dog in the area.

Dep. Frank arrived in the area and observed the dog in the yard. Dep. Frank contacted the dog owner to advise them of the complaint.

March 20, 7:52 a.m. –

Deputy Lane responded to a possible burglary on North Wahl Road in Lind. Complainant advised of a cold burglary at the location.

March 17, 11:09 a.m. –

Deputy Verhey responded to an agency assist call in the 500 block of East Second Avenue in Ritzville. Dep. Verhey arrived on scene and assisted Ritzville Police Sergeant Cameron.
