All For Amy fundraiser Saturday

Tickets are still available for the All For Amy dinner and auction event at the Lind Grange Hall on Saturday, March 23.

Organizers of the benefit auction for the Garcia family are encouraging community members to purchase tickets in advance, but tickets will also be sold at the door the night of the event.

All proceeds from ticket sales and the auction are donated to the Garcia family in Lind to help pay basic expenses and rent.

The Garcia’s lost their home and three-year-old daughter, Amy, in a house fire at the end of February.

The event begins with a happy hour at 5 p.m. and is followed by a dinner at 6 p.m.

The menu for the night includes smoked chicken thighs, prepared by James Wahl and beef stroganoff cooked by Cathy Wills.

The meal is served with food, prepared by Cathy Jo’s Catering, and includes dill potatoes, green beans, frogeye salad, Caesar salad, rolls and a dessert bar.

Beverages include coffee, donated by Starbucks, juice, beer and wine.

The live auction begins at 7 p.m. with Warren Kragt as auctioneer. Auction items include a one-night stay at the Davenport Hotel, Fleetwood Mac concert tickets, two-hour photo shoot in Spokane with Ned Fox, a date night with a one-night stay at the Best Western Plus Bronco Inn with dinner at The Ritz Roadhouse, and a Starbucks French press with coffee and mugs.

After the auction concludes, the Garrett Bartley Band is performing live and attendees are encouraged to stay and dance.

Tickets for the dinner are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for children age 12 and under. Tickets are available at Sunny Spot, Columbia Bank, Sterling Bank, Jim’s Empire Market, Lind Town Hall, Ritzville Drug Company, and at the schools in both Lind and Ritzville.

For updated information about the event, visit the “All For Amy” event page on Facebook.

Individuals interested in donating auction items are asked to contact Melanie Ziebell at 347-6074 or Marie Borth at 347-6546.
