Big Bend’s membership meeting Saturday

The Big Bend Electric Cooperative is hosting the 74th annual membership meeting on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the C.J. Newland American Legion Memorial Hall. The meeting begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. and members are welcome to browse the displays until 10:15 a.m.

The presentation of scholarships to local students starts at 10:15 a.m. and is immediately followed by the business meeting. Door prizes for members and children will be awarded during the business meeting.

Lunch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and the meeting’s agenda concludes with a presentation made by Northwest River Partners’ Kay Gabriel. The presentation topic is based on concerns surrounding dams on the Snake and Columbia rivers.

The Legion Hall is located at 106 West Broadway Avenue in Ritzville.
