Life Care Center of Ritzville wins national customer service award

Life Care Center of Ritzville recently received My InnerView’s Excellence in Action award from the National Research Corporation.

The award recognizes superior customer service as demonstrated by satisfaction surveys My InnerView distributes to customers of nursing homes around the country. Winners are providers that performed in the top 10 percent of nursing homes surveyed in 2011.

“These skilled nursing award recipients were first recognized by their own residents and employees through excellent satisfaction survey results,” said Susan Henricks, president and CEO of the National Research Corporation. “We salute our clients for taking the initiative to measure quality.”

Last year, 100 percent of those who returned surveys listed their overall satisfaction with Life Care Center of Ritzville as “good” or “excellent.” The same percentage also said they would recommend the facility to others.

The facility scored higher than its peers in every area. It scored 100 percent in these specific areas:

• Security of personal belongings

• Meaningfulness of activities

• Rehabilitation therapy

• Religious/spiritual opportunities

• Choices/preferences offered to residents

• Commitment to family updates

• Resident-to-resident friendships

• Respect for privacy

• Care and concern of staff

• Resident-to-staff friendships

• Respectfulness of staff

• RN/LVN/LPN care

“This is a prestigious honor for Life Care Center of Ritzville because customer service is what our business is all about,” said Beecher Hunter, president of the facility’s parent company, Life Care Centers of America. “We are proud of the dedication of our staff members who daily demonstrate their professional skills in the care of our residents, and the compassion that motivates them. It is obvious from these survey results that good communication with residents and their families is a key to the success of our mission.”
