Mennonite Country Auction starts with breakfast this Saturday

For the 35th year, the Mennonite Country Auction and Relief Sale is returning to the Menno Mennonite grounds on Saturday, Oct. 6. Breakfast is available from 7-9 a.m. followed by the opening of vendor booths and the auction, which begins at noon.

The auction includes items such as Amish and Mennonite quilts, baby quilts, wall hangings, tied comforters, Afghans, antiques, collectibles and household items. Quilters’ Corner Plus, Great Gatherings, Ten Thousand Villages and the Penny Power fundraiser are all vendor booths at the event.

A 1980 Harley Davidson Sportster is the raffle prize at the event. Apple cider and apple butter will be made in a copper caldron and available for purchase.

Admission and parking is free, and proceeds from the auction are used to support international relief, development and service ministries of the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).

Cash or checks are accepted at the event with current identification. All items purchased are tax deductable. All community members are welcome to attend the event and enjoy a day of fun supporting a good cause.
