Voters reminded to register for primary

This is a reminder to any person who is currently registered to vote in Washington State that they have until July 9 to update their voter registration to Adams County.

After July 9, voter registration closes to transfers and address changes until after the August 7 primary election.

State law permits persons to register to vote through July 30, provided they are new registrants to the state of Washington.

Persons so registering must register in person at the office of the Adams County Auditor, in the Adams County Courthouse in Ritzville or the Franklin County Auditor’s Office at 1016 North 4th Avenue in Pasco. Only voters not already registered in the State of Washington may register during this period.

A person can register online at http://www.vote.wa.gov or in person at the Adams County Auditor’s Office at 210 W. Broadway Avenue in Ritzville. Voters can also make address changes online or in person.

The Adams County Auditor’s Office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Anyone with questions is encouraged to call Heidi Hunt at 659-3249.
