April 3, 9:16 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised that there is an abundance of people that have moved into the vacant lot across from Bronson Street. Deputy Ben Buriak contacted the subjects who advised they were staying with a friend. Dep. Buriak was further advised the friend had permission to be there and all the cars and property there came from their friend’s mother’s residence. The subjects advised the friend was currently gone to Othello.

April 3, 8:58 p.m. – Sergeant Stacy Flynn and Deputy Jeffrey Lane responded to a silent alarm activated at location on East Lind-Ralston Road, Ritzville. Upon arrival, they found a subject that had fallen and was not able to get up. The subject was assisted into bed, where they advised that they were fine from there.

April 3, 8:41 p.m. – Washington State Patrol Trooper Mark Shepherd requested agency assistance with a traffic stop on West Rosenoff Road, Ritzville.

April 3, 4:16 p.m. – A report was generated for registered sex offender address verification in Lind.

April 3, 4:15 p.m. – A report was generated for registered sex offender address verification in Ritzville.

April 3, 4:08 p.m. – A report was generated for registered sex offender address verification in Ritzville.

April 3, 4:06 p.m. – A report was generated for registered sex offender address verification in Ritzville.

April 3, 12:11 p.m. – Lincoln County Sheriff advised they are looking for a male subject regarding warrants and thefts in Lincoln County. Deputy Dan Verhey made contact and was informed the complainant believes the suspect could be in the Adams County area. An e-mail was sent out to notify patrols and Ritzville Police.

April 2, 7:27 p.m. – Lind complainant reported their child had been assaulted at the school. Deputy Lane contacted complainant to generate a report.

April 2, 6:36 p.m. – Complainant from Arizona reported being a victim of harassment regarding a subject in Lind.

April 1, 2:23 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a demo car left on their property that they need a hulk vehicle report on.

March 31, 7:49 p.m. – Ritzville complainant called to advise of a suspicious vehicle parked at a location on East Harder Road, sitting unoccupied. Complainant was concerned the owner might be lost. Deputy Ned Bernath and Sergeant Flynn located the subject and they were returning to the vehicle from the Mullan Trail. Subject was getting global positioning system coordinates for an event that will be held in the area next week. No problems. Sgt. Flynn and Dep. Bernath cleared from the scene.

March 31, 1:42 p.m. – Lind complainant called and reported a radiator missing from their truck. Complainant requests contact. Deputy Buriak contacted complainant as requested and was advised that sometime between mid February and today, the radiator from their 1965 Dodge flatbed truck was stolen from West Second Street. Value of the radiator is $250.

March 30, 5:25 p.m., Hatton complainant advised of people camping on the north side of town on private property, near Fourth Avenue. Complainant requests extra patrols in the evening hours as the campers are walking around the area.

March 20, 4:53 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of an issue with a tenant that is being evicted from property on North Airfield Road. Deputy Bernath contacted complainant who requested extra patrol in the area because the tenant has until April 2 to remove all belongings from the property, including a metal building. Complainant is concerned about the amount of people helping the subject and does not want other areas to be disturbed.

March 30, 3:40 p.m. – Ritzville complainant requested contact reference a civil matter over property they purchased. Deputy Bernath attempted to contact complainant. Did not get an answer at phone number, nor a message machine. Will attempt contact later.

March 30, 2:51 p.m. – Odessa complainant advised of tire tracks in the area of North Batum Road, Lind. Complainant suspected scrappers could be in the area but had not seen any as of the time they called. Complainant requesting extra patrols.

March 30, 9:07 a.m. – Lind complainant contacted dispatch and advised of a male subject that was observed by a third party, with five to six rolls of copper tubing in the back of their truck on March 28. The male subject was, again observed by another third party, on March 29, with a cutting torch and generator on their truck. Complainant wanted to pass the information along due to all the metal thefts. The third party subjects did not wish to give their names. The deputy informed the complainant we were not aware of any thefts of copper tubing at this time but would pass on the information.

March 30, 6:50 a.m. – ADT Alarms advised of a silent alarm at a location on East Lind-Ralston Road, Ritzville. Contact was made with the property owner by phone when officer arrived at the residence. Outbuildings and surrounding area were checked and nothing appeared to have been disturbed or out of place, the back door to the building was secured and officer cleared.

March 29, 7:32 p.m. – Lind complainant called requesting a hulk vehicle form on West Main Street. Deputy Bernath observed both vehicles clearly met the criteria for hulk vehicle forms. Dep. Bernath filled out and returned the forms to the complainant.

March 29, 7:32 p.m. –

Complainant from the Hatton Coulee rest area advised someone entered their vehicle at the rest area and stole items from inside the vehicle. Deputy Bernath contacted the complainant at the scene and took the report.

March 29, 6:37 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle at a location on East Weber Road. Deputy Bernath arrived on location and the vehicle was gone. Dep. Bernath checked the surrounding area and did not observe any evidence of a crime. Dep. Bernath cleared from the area.

March 28, 3:42 p.m. – Lind complainant advised their son was shot in the forehead with a BB gun. Deputy Bernath contacted the complainant and son at the East Adams Rural Hospital. Dep. Bernath was advised an 11-year-old friend had shot the son on accident while playing. Dep. Bernath contacted the 11-year-old subject and parent in Lind and was advised the BB gun was fired by mistake. The parent advised they will be with the boys in the future when they are out with the BB guns.

March 28, 11:39 a.m. – Lind complainant advised they observed a male subject with a juvenile at the grade school on West Third Street, and believes there might be a violation of a court order taking place. Upon investigation it was found no violation took place.

March 28, 8:26 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised they were missing two dogs. The dogs are a female yellow lab, with a faded pink collar, named Zoey, and a male Blue Heeler, with a blue collar, named Buckshot. Complainant also was given the number to Adams County Pet Rescue. If the dogs are found, the complainant requests contact on their cell phone. 9:01 p.m., complainant advised they found their dogs.

March 27, 9:13 p.m. – Odessa complainant received a strange phone call wanted to know how to contact the subject believed to be in Ritzville. Complainant was advised that the Sheriffs office had no way of giving them the number and was advised to ignore any further calls from the subject.

March 27, 12:27 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious red Rodeo Suzuki parked at a location on North Short Road and East Kanzler Road. When the complainant drove into the area the suspect vehicle started to drive away. With the recent thefts in the area, the complainant thought the suspects were looking for items to steal. The vehicle left east from the location. Deputy Craig Frank searched the area and did not locate the suspect vehicle.

March 27, 1:52 a.m. – Adams County Jail corrections officer found a cell phone in the jail.

March 26, 8:58 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of people working at the high school until 11 p.m., both inside and outside of the building.

March 25, 8:45 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle with scrap metal in the back of it at a location on West Leisle Road and North Deal Road. Deputy Aaron Madison located and later arrested William August Jacobsen, for third degree possession of stolen property, third degree theft and second degree trespassing. The following day, Deputy Verhey was provided with Dep. Madison’s search warrant and affidavit for search warrant. Dep. Verhey presented the above to Judge Strohmaier and it was signed. Dep. Verhey and Sergeant Troy Mock executed the warrant and the vehicle was turned back over to towing.

March 24, 11:16 p.m. – Deputy Lane contacted and arrested Andrew Marshal Nelson for Minor in Possession of alcohol and Damon Anthony Lombard-Gordon for Driving Under the Influence.

March 24, 5:01 p.m. – Complainant from Endicott advised of being harassed by two brownish yellow dogs while at a memorial in Ralston. Attempted contact with the dog owner off Highway 261. No contact was made with the owner, but Sergeant Flynn made contact with the two dogs, who did not appear to be vicious.

March 24, 2:50 p.m. – Lind complainant reported a theft in progress on West Lind-Warden Road. Complainant is following a suspicious vehicle that has scrap metal in the back. With the help of Troopers Shawn Pichette and Tyler Fryberger suspect vehicle was located at First and Neilson in Lind. Subject contacted is the landowner and is moving the metal into town.

March 23, 10:13 p.m. – Deputy Lane stopped subject vehicle on North Johnson Road and West Lind-Warden Road, Lind. Subsequently impounded the vehicle for search warrant.

March 23, 7:50 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle in the area of West Schrag Road. Deputy Lane had just spoken to complainant as the vehicle entered onto Interstate 90 westbound.

March 23, 2:16 p.m. –

Complainant from Arizona advised of a possible violation of a harassment order with a subject from Lind. Deputy Madison contacted complainant.

March 23, 12:04 a.m. – Deputy Roy Montalvo found graffiti at the park on Cherry Street in Hatton.

March 22, 9:43 p.m. – Lind complainant reported two low flying jets in the area. Deputy Montalvo was in the area and confirmed the jets were military aircraft. Complainant was notified of the information.

March 22, 3:15 p.m. – Lind complainant called believing they were missing some equipment on West Urquhart Road, Ritzville. After speaking with complainant they discovered there was nothing missing. Complainant advised they would alter the approach and place a spike strip in the road.

March 22, 11:11 a.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of a subject waving a handgun around and threatening people on West Urquhart Road. Deputy Bernath, Undersheriff John Hunt, WSP Sgt. Steven Morehead, Troopers Fryberger and Carmen Herrington arrived on scene. It was determined that no direct threat was indicated. Investigation conducted.

March 22, 12:52 a.m. –

Ritzville City Police requested agency assistance in the search of a male subject wanted in connection with a second-degree assault domestic violence.

March 21, 7:42 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised they chased off a vehicle from and area on North Johnson Road and West Lind-Warden Road, Lind, approximately 30 minutes prior to calling. The driver was scrapping metal, and subject was described as having no teeth. The vehicle information and call were passed on to District 2.

March 22, 5:57 p.m. – Odessa complainant spoke with Deputy Bernath in reference to a suspicious vehicle loaded with scrap metal that was seen this morning on North Moody Road, Ritzville. Dep. Bernath gathered information about the vehicle and asked the complainant to call promptly in the future when there are concerns about a situation, or sees a vehicle out of place.

March 21, 12:04 p.m. – Lind complainant advised they lost their dog within the last day, the dog is a fawn colored female pit bull, with white on her neck and chest, and is five-years-old. Complainant advised the dog’s name is Gracie, and complainant believes the dog may have been hit, but they can’t find her. Complainant also given the number to Adams County Pet Rescue.

March 21, 10:13 a.m. – An out-of-state complainant advised of their motor home left on South Highway 395 and East Cunningham Road, Lind, because it broke down. Upon returning to the vehicle complainant found it a mess and isn’t sure what is missing. Deputy Buriak contacted complainant and was advised the same.

March 20, 12:23 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of farm equipment being stolen from West Herman Road, and cut up. Earlier this morning, additional complainants came in and advised of locating a cut up Herman Harrow next to the county drop box in a gravel pit. The Harrow was partially cut up and it appeared it go there sometime over the weekend. Dep. Buriak contacted the owner of the Harrow, who advised they located it near the county drop box. It was a green 60-foot Herman Harrow valued at $5,000. Complainant advised they believed it was taken from their CRP field sometime over the weekend.

March 19, 7:40 p.m. – Deputy Madison contacted a subject and vehicle on West Schrag Road and North Batum Road, Ritzville. Bed of subject’s truck had old tires and wheels in it. There was also a bicycle, subject advised they got it from cleaning out an old storage shed. Subject further advised he stopped at the current location to fix a tire problem and would be back on the road by morning.

March 19, 3:55 p.m. – Lind complainant reported the back door to a residence was open on East Sixth Street but no one was living in the house. Deputies Buriak and Madison cleared the residence and found no suspect or evidence of forced entry. Deputies Buriak and Madison contacted neighbors and were unable to find owner information. Dep. Buriak contacted the City of Lind to get owner information, was advised of who the owners were. They were added to the involvement’s for the law incident.

March 19, 10:45 a.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious blue pickup parked behind a shed on West Rosenoff Road. Deputy Buriak and Sergeant Stacy Flynn located the vehicle and later learned the driver was suspended in the third degree and the vehicle was broke down. Dep. Buriak cited and released the driver for driving while license suspended third degree. The vehicle was towed.

March 18, 6:43 p.m. –

Washington State Patrol reported a vehicle abandoned on the roadway on South William Road, Lind. Deputy Verhey checked the vehicle and found it was safely off the roadway at the time. Vehicle was marked by Dep. Verhey. A note left on the vehicle said it broke down and someone would be picking it p on March 19.

March 18, 2:40 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle on East Fifth Street.

March 18, 12:52 p.m. – ADT Alarms advised of an alarm activated at a residence on East Lind-Ralston Road, Ritzville. Trooper Pichette and Deputy Lane cleared the residence. No one was found and all appeared well. Homeowner will call if needed after reviewing surveillance. Ritzville complainant requested contact at 5:30 p.m. At 8:24 p.m. the complainant called back and advised the house was broken into while they were gone. Entry was made through the sliding door. $450 is missing. Deputy Verhey made contact with the complainant and was advised of the information.
