Man escapes after pursuit

A small, quick fugitive escaped capture Friday, leading members of three law enforcement agencies on a frustrating wild goose chase.

In the end, authorities may have the last laugh since they have positively identified the suspect and have substantial information about his possible whereabouts and his past criminal history.

The tense affair began Friday afternoon with a high speed pursuit that ended up in the city of Ritzville before the suspect wrecked his car outside of the city near Bauman Road, just off of Danekas Road.
