March 17, 8:56 p.m. – Deputy Jeffery Lane contacted the listed subjects at a location on Interstate 90 eastbound. Dep. Lane will be sending a driving while license suspended in the third degree citation in the mail.

March 17, 8:15 p.m. – Deputy Dan Verhey stopped listed vehicle for traffic violation on Interstate 90 eastbound. On contact Dep. Verhey observed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After investigation it was found the passenger was in possession of under 40 grams.

March 17, 7:07 p.m. – Deputy Verhey stopped listed vehicle for traffic violation. The driver was found to be suspended in the third degree. The registered owner took over driving and the subject was issued for the violations.

March 17, 12:24 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle in their lot over the night. Listed vehicle brown down, tow enroute from Moses Lake.

March 17, 10:57 a.m. – Deputy Lane contacted listed vehicles at a residence on Batum Road, Odessa. They have been scrapping there for some time. All was well, they were leaving as the homeowner asked them to leave.

March 17, 9:17 a.m. –

Washtucna complainant had questions about storage of items. Complainant was advised to contact the owner of the location and talk with him.

March 16, 11:34 p.m. – Deputy Verhey located an open door at a location on South Church Street, Washtucna. The location was checked and found to be clear. Dep. Verhey was able to lock the door as he left.

March 15, 1:01 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advises a vehicle pulled into their driveway on Moody Road and inquired about the metal lying in the area of the fenced deer. The complainant told the subject the metal was probably not for sale and gave the owners name. In lieu of all the thefts in the area the complainant thought the sheriff’s office should know. The vehicle was a 1998 white and blue Ford F150. The driver was a Hispanic male and had a white female passenger.

March 15, 7:11 p.m. – Ritzville complainant called to report a verbal argument between two people regarding a child. Deputy Lane and Sergeant Troy Mock responded and the issue was resolved. All parties returned to their home and were advised to contact the courts about a parenting plan.

March 15, 10:06 a.m. –

Received report from Department of Social and Health Services regarding a possible sex offense in Lind. Deputy Ben Buriak conducted an investigation regarding the possible offense. Dep. Buriak later arrested and booked Paul Michael Kimball, for five counts of child molestation in the third degree.

March 14, 2:02 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of finding a pipe and other possible paraphernalia at a location on North Lind-Hatton Road, Lind. Deputy Buriak located the pipe and placed it into evidence to be destroyed.

March 14, 12:17 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of a blue extended cab pickup parked at Thavis crossing with a male subject, wearing dark clothing walking on the railroad tracks about two miles up from the truck. Deputy Buriak contacted the subject and warned him he was trespassing on Railroad property. Subject was advised to return to his vehicle, and complied.

March 14, 11:07 a.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of a dead cat in a mailbox on East Harder Road. Deputy Buriak contacted the responsible party and was advised the responsible knew about the cat and it was placed there as a practical joke on them and not the postal workers. Responsible party advised they would take care of the matter.

March 14, 8:01 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised between 1200-1230 hours they noticed a suspicious vehicle, believed to be a SUV, parked on Hills Road. Complainant states the vehicle is similar to the neighbors SUV, but it wasn’t theirs. Complainant then advised that on Saturday afternoon they saw a subject hanging around. The subject had blonde hair, five foot nine to six feet tall, dark color clothing. The complainant went to approach the subject but they had left. Complainant was told to report things like this immediately when it happens and not wait.

March 13, 4:30 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle and subject looking for scrap at a location on North Bauer Road. Deputy Aaron Madison received report 90 minutes after complainant had contact with suspicious subject and vehicle. Dep. Madison checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle. Dep. Madison contacted complainant who advised the subject pulled into the driveway and asked for old scrap metal.

March 13, 2:32 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised that sometime within the last month two six-foot railroad irons were taken from a location on North Richards Road. Complainant further advised the subjects also entered their abandoned farmhouse but nothing else appears missing.

March 13, 12:37 a.m. –

Deputy Verhey located the “T” intersection sign that was down on West Providence Road and North Johnson Road, Lind. Dep. Verhey sent Public Works the information.

March 12, 3:19 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of dogs chasing cattle on their property on East Harder Road. Complainant requested information their rights. Complainant was given information over the phone and advised to call if the problem persists.

March 12, 2:43 p.m. – WSP generated an information report regarding a hitchhiker on eastbound Interstate 90. Subject has a non-extraditable warrant out of Florida. Report was given to local patrol.

March 12, 10:49 a.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of receiving a suspicious phone call and requested contact. Deputy Buriak contacted complainant and was advised of a male subject that called from Jamaica requesting money. Complainant advised she did not know the complainant and told the subject she would not send money to them. The subject got angry and hung up. Complainant wanted the Sheriffs office to be aware of a possible telephone scam.

March 12, 9:55 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a building that had been spray-painted and it appears to be gang related. Deputy Buriak contacted complainant and observed the graffiti. Dep. Buriak was advised the graffiti occurred sometime between the evening of March 10 and this morning.

March 11, 6:26 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle at a location on North Hoffman Road, Lind. Vehicle was gone upon Deputy Madison’s arrival. Vehicle was later found in Moses Lake and Moses Lake PD took custody of subject for possession of stolen property.
