Sterling Bank to open branch in LaCrosse

Sterling Bank (Sterling) announced on April 11 that a branch is opening in LaCrosse to serve new rural consumer and business customers.

“We look forward to providing banking solutions to people in Lacrosse and around eastern Washington,” said Ezra Eckhardt, president of Sterling Bank. “We are dedicated to providing our customers with great products and services and are ready to continue building a strong connection to the region.”

Sterling partnered closely with the LaCrosse Community Pride to create new banking alternatives for the region. LaCrosse Community Pride is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving a rural lifestyle for its community members.

Sterling currently has one other Whitman County branch – in Colfax – and 30 branches in eastern Washington. In total, Sterling has 189 branches in five western states.

Formerly Sterling Savings Bank, Sterling Bank dropped the “Savings” from their name in early March, reflecting their new bank brand and commercial bank charter.

Sterling Financial Corporation of Spokane, Wash., is the bank holding company for Sterling Savings Bank; a state chartered and federally insured commercial bank. Sterling offers banking products and services, mortgage lending, and investment products to individuals, small businesses, commercial organizations and corporations.

As of December 31, 2011, Sterling Financial Corporation had assets of $9.19 billion and operated 175 depository branches throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and California. Visit Sterling’s website at http://www.sterlingfinancialcorporation-spokane.com.
