Crews tackling early mosquito problems

The Adams County Mosquito Control District began checking early spots of standing water for mosquito larva the last week of March. There are several small areas throughout Adams County that have produced mosquito larva in the early spring for years.

Products used are: Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, Bacillus sphaericus and Methoprene for larva control and Monomolecular Surface Film and refined petroleum distillates for pupa control.
