Feb. 9, 7:19 p.m. – Deputy Jeffrey Lane arrested Matthew James Werner for assault.

Feb. 9, 4:21 p.m. – Adams County Sheriff’s Office located Ernest Lilburn Morgan Jr., and took him into custody on a felony warrant.

Feb. 9, 2:47 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of receiving harassing phone calls.

Feb. 9, 1:19 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of two, one black and one red, Toyota pickups full of scrap, come out of Tokio and headed North on Highway 21. Deputy Ben Buriak notified of the call but was out of position. Lincoln County advised. Vehicle was unable to be located.

Feb. 9, 12:26 p.m.– Lind complainant advised of a threatening text found on her child’s phone. The message was made by another juvenile. Deputy Buriak contacted complainant and the school district regarding the text. The text was made in November and related to another case.

Feb. 8, 6:50 p.m. – Washington State Patrol requested agency assist with pursuit. Deputy Lane assisted. Sergeant Troy Mock was advised of the call.

Feb. 8, 12:00 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of an unwanted subject at their grandmother’s house. Complainant advised the subject had known warrants.

Feb. 8, 12:25 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of two juvenile males that arrived at the school and left. Complainant advised the subjects are not wanted on school property as they do not attend the school and were smoking on school grounds. Deputy Buriak checked the school grounds and around town for the vehicle and didn’t locate it. Dep. Buriak spoke to the complainant and was advised that the complainant told the subjects to leave town, or the Sheriff’s office would be called. Subjects left before Dep. Buriak arrived.

Feb. 8, 11:27 a.m. – Odessa complainant advised that they would be out in a red tractor moving some scrap around on the Moody Flats and that they have permission by the land owner. Land owner was contacted to confirm.

Feb. 8, 10:34 a.m. – Richland complainant advised of a semi heading east on State Route 26 from Washtucna, that was on fire. Washington State Patrol units were not in the area and assistance was requested from the Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Buriak was advised of the call. Sergeant Stacy Flynn was notified of agency assist request and approval was granted. Dep. Buriak checked the area of SR 26 to Milepost 93 and was unable to locate the vehicle. Whitman County was notified.

Feb. 8, 5:26 p.m. – Ritzville complainant called to report the location of a subject with a known warrant. Deputy Aaron Madison contacted jail staff who advised they would not take the subject on the warrant at this time.

Feb. 7, 9:19 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a male subject possibly hitch hiking on Rosenoff Road near the cemetery. Complainant advised the subject appeared to be heading west towards Moses Lake. Deputy Buriak located the subject at Rosenoff and Suko Roads. Dep. Buriak gave the subject a ride to the Adams/Grant County Line. The subject was warned to stay off other people’s property and to stay on the roadway.

Feb. 6, 3:24 p.m. – Complainant from Metaline Falls reported his motorcycle was stolen from his property in Lind. Complainant requests contact. Deputy Buriak contacted complainant who advised the motorcycle was taken within the last couple of months. The motorcycle was identified to be a black 2008 Baja Phoenix 250, valued at about $1500. Complainant signed the motorcycle as stolen and the information was entered into the system.

Feb. 5, 9:02 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a vehicle with loud exhaust driving in the area of North Deal Road. Deputy Lane checked the area and was unable to locate any vehicle.

Feb. 5, 8:26 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a theft of hay bales from a location on East Hatton Road.

Feb. 4, 6:57 p.m. – Washington State Patrol requested agency assistance with Trooper Carmen Herrington had a vehicle fail to yield, then pull over sharply at milepost 223, eastbound. It was determined that the subject was elderly and having difficulty. Deputy Lane disregarded.

Feb. 4, 8:31 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a shot fired at a location on North Roxboro Road. Complainant advised the shot went over their house. Deputy Madison contacted complainant and learned the Warden Coyote Hunt is this weekend. Complainant further advised a maroon Chevy pickup left the area headed toward Grant County after the shot was made. Dep. Madison checked the area and was unable to located the described vehicle.

Feb. 3, 10:00 p.m. – Washtucna complainant reported a suspicious vehicle pulling a trailer driving in the area of East Phillips Road. The complainant does not recognize the vehicle as belonging to any neighbors. Deputy Lane and Sergeant Mock checked the area and were unable to locate anything matching.

Feb. 3, 7:56 p.m. – Ritzville complainant reported hearing exhaust for an extended period of time and then someone spotlighting their house. Complainant believed it to be a SUV, and requested a check of the area near North Deal Road. Deputy Ned Bernath checked the area and was unable to locate anything matching the description.

Feb. 2, 10:44 p.m. – Ritzville complainant reported seeing lights in the area of West Weber Road. The area was checked, unable to locate any lights or other suspicious activity.

Feb. 2, 12:30 p.m. – Received silent alarm from a location on North Seivers Road, Ritzville. Deputy Bernath and a Lincoln County deputy contacted the scene, all appeared secure. Both units cleared, home owner advised.

Feb. 2, 10:17 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious white surburban checking out the area around West Heinemann Road and North Damon Road. Deputy Bernath located the vehicle occupied by four subjects. Dep. Bernath was advised they went to Ritzville via the back roads to look around.

Jan. 31, 2:47 p.m. – Grant County Sheriff advised of Lehmans and Kenfield out with two scrappers about 10 miles west of Ritzville who advise they are scrapping for a farmer but can’t remember their name. They have part of a vehicle chassy and a fuel storage tank of some sort. One of them is in custody for an unrelated matter. Grant County deputies are taking photos and forwarding them to Deputy Madison.

Jan. 31, 9:22 a.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of mail being taken from mail boxes in the area of South Sage Road. Deputy Bernath advised.

Jan. 31, 9:17 a.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of mail being taken from mail boxes in the area of East Herman Road. Deputy Bernath advised.

Jan. 31, 8:53 a.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of mail being taken from mail boxes in the area of East Sutton Road. Deputy Bernath advised.

Jan. 30, 6:02 p.m. – Deputy Ryan Haring stopped a vehicle for speeding 91 mph in a 70 mph zone, traveling southbound on Highway 395. Driver was issued traffic infraction for speeding. Upon clearing from the stop, was waved down by the violator. They advised the car battery was dead and needed a jump-start. Assisted with a jump-start and got them on their way.

Jan. 30, 3:49 p.m. – A report was generated for sex offender registration in Washtucna.

Jan. 30, 3:47 p.m. – A report was generated for sex offender registration in Ritzville.

Jan. 30, 3:46 p.m. – A report was generated for sex offender registration in Lind.

Jan. 30, 2:52 p.m. – Columbia Basin Herald newspaper advised a newspaper box holder was taken from a location on West Second Street, Lind. Deputy Madison will contact the complainant on Jan. 31.

Jan. 30, 12:03 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle at a location on North Dewald Road and East Sackman Road. Deputy Madison located the vehicle north bound on Highway 395 near milepost 89. Suspect vehicle failed to stop and went off road crashing through a Department of Transportation fence. The suspect vehicle continued through wheat fields, CRP fields and stubble fields. With the assistance of the Washington State Patrol airplane suspects were taken into custody approximately seven miles away from the location.
