Inaugural harvest party delivers plenty of ‘fun’

FACE FIRST. The pie-eating contest starts out the games with eight contestants lined up to cover their face in pumpkin pudding pie and the one that eats the fastest wins a first-place prize. The three pictured here, Kody Yonce (left), Nelson Mora and Bernadine Reid were a few of the top contenders.

It was an afternoon of food, fun, music and games for all ages at Lind’s Harvest Celebration, hosted by Lind Community Church on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Lind Community Park.

The day was filled with events for the kids including a potato sack race, pumpkin rolling, potato tossing and decorating corn.

The day ended with free food and live entertainment by members of the church. The celebration was so much fun that the attendees look forward to its return next year.
