Casino Night theme adds glitz to benefit wine tasting, auction

The 19th Annual East Adams County Healthcare Foundation Wine and Microbrew Tasting and Auction arrives this Saturday evening at the C.J. Newland American Legion Memorial Hall on Broadway Avenue.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for a silent auction featuring a large selection of items followed by a catered meal and a live auction, which starts at 8 p.m.

With a theme of “Welcome to Vegas Nights,” this year’s event will feature a variety of foods and entertainment to coordinate with the Vegas evening.

Advance tickets are available by sending $20 per person to EACH Foundation, PO Box 365, Ritzville, WA 99169.

Tickets can also be purchased at Wild Flowers Quilt Shop and Liquor Store.

The event will feature wines from Northwsest vintners with a boutique selection of worldy wines to enhance the selection.

Rocky Coulee Brewery of Odessa will aso participate, serving up a variety of their private recipe microbrews.

The catering for this year’s gala is being handled by Cathy Jo’s Catering of Lind.

The East Adams County Healthcare Foundation directly benefits the Adams County Public Hospital District No. 2 and the residents of eastern Adams County.

This year’s proceeds will be used by the foundation to purchase additional equipment for the hospital and to continue to provide the Ronald Baumann Scholarship Fund. A portion of the proceeds will be placed in the foundation’s long-term capital account.

Previous events have raised funds for physical therapy equipment, telescoping x-ray table, training mannequin for Emergency Medical Services, vest for patient lift, three portable suction units, health fair support, chairs and television for lobby, long-term capital projects and scholarships.

Its sole purpose is to support the hospital district by taking in money and purchasing items for the district.

EACH Foundation is a non-profit organization operating under the Internal Revenue Service designation of a 501 (c)(3).

Its boundaries mirror that of the hospital district, and all proceeds stay within those boundaries.
