Ritzville museums' summer hours end soon

Ritzville’s railway depot and the Dr. Frank R. Burroughs’ Home museums will continue daily hours of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, until Sept. 2.

The museums are closed for the Ritzville Community Parade on Sept. 3.

Area residents will find many new artifacts at both museums as well as merchandise such as Scovel prints of local points of interest, train t-shirts, whistles and hats, ash from the 1980 Mt. St. Helens explosion and books on local and train history at the depot.

Following the summer, tours are available by appointment.

For more information or to schedule a tour, contact museum officers Carol Becker, Gaynel Gering, Nancy Burke or Ann Olson.

In addition, the Burroughs’ home is available for parties and birthday parties can be scheduled in the caboose located near the depot.
